What to Expect

Acupuncture is performed with thin sterile needles that are disposable. Each needle is placed at a specific point on the body that will produce a natural stimulating effect towards the bodies innate ability to heal itself. The natural healing process is observed to help harmonize and balance the internal organs and pathways of the body. Acupuncture aims to treat the root cause of the symptoms as well as the symptoms.

The first session will include an extensive ten question interview on how your body is operating. After gathering all of your information, the acupuncturist will then take your pulse and look at your tongue. The pulse and tongue will further help the acupuncturist diagnose your condition based on traditional Chinese medicine theory. The acupuncturist will then choose which points to use based off of the diagnosis and symptoms presented to help naturally heal and/or manage your conditions.
